Don Loe

John & I met Freshman year in college, at Northern Ill. University. We hit it off musically right away, as many of our likes and influences were similar. Always very melodic, John had (and has) a wonderful sensibility when it came to writing songs. Chord changes, melody, lyrics & humor -  John used them all to pen some very engaging songs. Though we never had a chance to record with proper equipment, I was able to nevertheless capture some nice moments in some very quiet and player-friendly environments. In these recordings, you can't even tell that there were several other people in the room with us. As always, people just loved to stop everything and listen to John's songs tell their stories. I was & am always fortunate to play with him and try to embellish his work. 
   These recordings are just John & I playing at a friends apartment. All of the songs are ones that he wrote. John is playing rhythm guitar & singing and I am noodling around on lead guitar and sometimes trying to harmonize. Note the word 'trying'...
